Priority Country Area Program (PCAP) is a Rural Education Program funded by the Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and is administered by Education Queensland and the Queensland Catholic Education Commission and services government and non-government schools and their communities, including Schools of Distance Education. |

The aim of the program is to help schools and school communities improve the educational outcomes and opportunities of students who are educationally disadvantaged because of their geographical isolation so that their learning outcomes match those of other students. |

| Northern PCAP operates within the North Queensland shires of Bowen, Dalrymple, Etheridge, Mareeba Herberton, Croydon, Carpentaria, Burke, Mornington, Cook, Aurukun and Torres. | ||
